Our Story
MK Family Aqua Farms
The ‘numbers guy,’ Michael, has extensive experience in financial management of complex not-for-profit organizations. In increasingly limited spare time, Michael is a woodworker, taking on projects ranging from the restoration of old furniture to fine jewelry boxes.
Michael comes from a family that supports communities through small businesses, whetherr butcher or ice cream shops, bonds are made through sharing delicious food.
As the chief officer of MK Family Aquaculture, Michael has responsibility for the full P&L. You only get rich off of the views in aquaculture, but we need to make sure we keep the lights on and cages floating to continue providing sustainable shellfish.

Brooklyn dwellers, Miles & Wendy are frequent deckhands at MK Family Aqua. They balance time between the hustle and bustle of Manhattan with the calm of the Peconic bay. Whenever the boat needs a good cleaning, nobody can swab the deck like Miles & Wendy!
